Here's a sneak at Chise gun progress (about 80% complete). I have started the blazer to her school uniform, too. Unfortunately, I have to put her aside and work my butt off to finish some Morning Musume costumes for Anime Expo! I would say they are a secret, but it's more like we can't agree on anything, lol.

Thank you all who commented on Kaylee weeks ago! I just can't get used to posting here. xD Anyways my most recently finished costume is my steampunk girl.

She's a little thrown together, but very fun to wear. :)
The BIG project I'm currently working on, and my next competition project (I haven't competed in some time now and that needs to change) is Chise from Saikano!
Right now I'm working on the gatling gun arm. My first big prop. >.<; Then it's the wings! School uniform is easy by comparison. Luckily I have until October.

In other news, I am going to Anime Expo - but just to see Morning Musume! So I don't know what I'll wear besides the obvious Hello! Project cosplay.

Wow, I haven't posted in 9 months. I am just too busy to post here and have certainly not taken a hiatus from cosplay. Thanks to a certain friend that nudged me ^.~ it's been bugging me that I need to post here. My boyfriend (as of 5 months ago, I am in a very happy relationship, go us!) did a little private photoshoot of me as Kaylee at the Chinese Cultural Center here in Phoenix. I thought I'd share the photos. ^^ He really wants to cosplay Mal with me, eventually.

I just flew into OKC at midnight last night. I forget how cute my kitties are. ;.;
SabotenCon was great! As staff of this first year convention, I think the turnout was good and overall outweighed the flaws. I had a lot of fun seeing everybody and our events (especially the DDR dance!) were awesome as well as the few panels I managed to catch.
A-kon...lol I can't remember my costume schedule actually... I'm bringing:

J-pop group costume (is it still a secret? lol I think it is xD)

Saturday- Chii (Tsubasa) + AzHP Girl

Monday- Candy Lolita (borrowed from a friend yay I didn't make one! xD)

I am so excited for PCC!
But at the same time I am worried about tears and drama...please don't follow me to the con I have been looking forward to for months now...
I will be working about 8 hours at this con! This is my second time being staff at a con (first time was Otaku University). I'll be helping set up/tear down for the lolita tea party, stage manager for the masquerade (that job sounds so important huh? it's nothing big really xD), and hosting 2 one hour rounds of Iron Cosplay. =3 So I won't be available to hang out all the time and Saturday will be SUPA busy for me. But I hope to visit with all my con friends!
I'll be getting there sometime unnamed time on Friday and staying both Fri and Sat night in the AZHP rooms at the Marriott. Having been unemployed for nearly a month now, I'm low on monies so I will have to be on a budget for this con regarding food. ^.^; My throat is a lot better so I'll be busting out some KARAOKE FUN TIME again!!

For those going to Phoenix ComiCon:
Anybody still in need of a hotel room to stay in or roommates for your own room? If so, please let me know. Right now it's just me and Angrias staying on Saturday at the Best Western near the con center. I would like to split with more people and if it's cheap enough possibly stay more than just Saturday. =o

THIS SUCKS
I have been so busy nonstop that I completely forgot that I need new boot covers for Sailor Mercury for Izumicon!! I turned them into Darkury and now there is no time to order fabric to make new ones. :( I am at a loss for what to do. I want to wear it with my group so badly! I'm not sure if I can even find time to finish the other things I need to redo, but there's no way I can get the fabric or find some replacement on time. The color of PVC is extremely rare and I have only ever seen it online. The place's rush shipping is $30. >.<; NOT WORTH IT. Crap what should I do??? ;.;

Haha those pics and con reports still aren't all up. Getting there, getting there. You can see Saturday's pics, though.
Friday I had a little sewing party at my apartment and I'm super happy people showed up! Disposable Assassin, Haru to Ashura, Kisa, and Sasamichan came. ^^ I was worried no one would since so many people cancelled on me last minute or just never got back to me (in some cases I think I lost messages, but even still). We didn't get much done but I mostly made my Hoke Mirin plushie for Puchiko and Kisa started her Freya costume. Mostly we looked at pictures on my computer, watched anime, and ate muffins. xD I had one muffin left after the party, haha they're always a hit! =d
Also recently completed is the Sakura commission for Sam, Tim's little sister.
I wish I had made it bigger so she'd have room to grow into it. The circles were a bitch to do because the iron on stuff didn't work at all, and then I had to satin stitch, and of course needle wouldn't go through the iron on adhesive. v_v So that was A PAIN but I finally finished it. The fact that I cheated on the zipper (putting it in the back instead of curved in the front) makes me feel bad but it's not mine and she didn't care - SO! I also made the kunai pouch and shoes which aren't photoworthy. I just know she's going to run around the house and go to the store in it. =B
I entered yet another lookalike contest on CosplayLab. It's duh duh duh...Sailor Mercury! Please vote for me and vote for Aimee too cause she rocks!! With the exception of a couple bad wigs in there, competition is pretty tough. =o I'm surprised more didn't enter. It seems like it was shorter notice than usual, though?
Right now Anime Vegas is looking doubtful. I should be able to save enough money for it now that I have a job, but plans with others have fallen through a few times already and I have no one to ride or stay with. I can't afford to drive or get a hotel all by my lonesome. So if anyone out there could split with me, let me know ASAP or I'll be sittin' home alone Labor Day weekend. ;p I really want to go to this con, too. :(
